The city is testing out giant dumpsters as shared household garbage cans in Harlem, and neighbors are not loving them — plus they wanted to know why Harlem had to be the guinea pig, residents told Gothamist. “‘Why didn’t they do this downtown? Do it in Tribeca,’ Lisa Matthews said. “They bring it right here in Harlem.’ Matthews said she’s not a driver and is less worried about losing parking spots than what she described as several new rat eateries just steps away from her home, where she’s lived for 30 years. She said the city is unfairly using Harlem for the experiment.”

  1. Gosh it’s a relief to know that Congestion Pricing would have no impact on the folks like Leonardo DiCaprio who came in for de Niro’s party.

No need for them to schlep on the bus, subway or PATH.
Nor hesitate traveling by private jet to save the earth.
