Seen & Heard: Last concert in Duane Park tonight

CLASSIC ROCK IN DUANE PARK
The Friends of Duane Park will hold the last of its outdoor concerts tonight, at 6;30 to 8p, with Tribeca’s classic rock band “None the Wiser” featuring Peter Schellbach and Stephen Oppenheimer on guitar, Tim Seymor on drums and Tony Reilly on bass.

SURVEY FOR BUDGET PRIORITIES FOR CB1
Each year community boards throughout the city put together a list of needs and wants in their districts; CB1 is beginning that process now and is seeking public input through this online survey. It’s a clickable form that walks through lists of priorities in several policy areas with options to fill in specific needs or explain rationales.

HEADS UP ON HALLOWEEN!
We’ve got a bit to go (and more on this later), but for those of you ready to mark your calendar: The Friends of Washington Market Park will have their annual Pumpkin Carving Contest on Saturday, Oct. 28, with drop off starting at 3p and judging at 5p; and their annual Halloween Parade & Concert on Sunday, Oct. 29, with the parade starting at 1p at Citibank’s plaza.

CLIMATE WEEK IN BPC
Battery Park City has a crop of events for the city’s Climate Week, Sept. 18-23, starting with Meet the Beekeeper on Monday in Rockefeller from 1:30 to 2:30; a talk on the tree canopy on Tuesday at 1p at 6 River Terrace; and a nature walk on Wednesday at 2p starting in Rockefeller.
