New home goods store coming to Church & Franklin

BaBoo, a home goods store that features handcrafted objects from around the world, has taken the lease at the corner of Franklin and Church (90 Franklin / 271 Church). They are located now in San Francisco’s Presidio Heights, and will open here to the public on Oct. 2 with an official opening event on Oct. 26.

The company was founded in 2013 by Galit Chav, an Israeli native who moved to San Fran to pursue her interest in design. She received her master’s from Columbia here in organizational psychology, but her travels around the world and especially in Israel made her want to represent those craftsmen and designers. The collection is whimsical and original — you can scroll through here.

More soon when they open up.

This is another good addition to the Tribeca Design District.
