Seen & Heard: Taste of the Seaport is next weekend

TASTE OF THE SEAPORT IS NOV. 11
Taste of the Seaport, the festival of local restaurants that supports Spruce Street and Peck Slip schools, was postponed and is now cued up for Saturday, Nov. 11, from noon to 4p. There will be 25 restaurants participating — including Da Claudio, Keste, The Fulton, Carne Mare — as well as a Kidszone. You can still get an early bird ticket for $55 for six tastes. See more here.

BODY ROLL HAS CLOSED
A. had written up Body Roll, the lymphatic massage studio on Beach, and I buried it — and now they have closed the Tribeca location. As a Pilates instructor, she is a devotee so if you are interested, they are still operating out of the West Village location.

IMAGINE THIS…
A friend just moved to Tokyo and she said it took her a while to understand why the streets looked so clean — but then she got it: no cars. (If you own a car and live in Tokyo, you have to prove that you have a private garage to put it in.) For some reason, that’s how it looked on Greenwich last weekend, and this was not even before the Halloween Parade. So satisfying.

F.E. CASTLEBERRY SHOP OPENING
The Tribeca boutique for the menswear line F.E. Castleberry will open on Nov. 16 next to Grandaisy at 246 West Broadway and N. Moore. From the website: “F.E. Castleberry is the product of a bygone New York and the blurred line between upper class opulence and downtown irreverence. It inhabits a world where the je ne sais quoi of Jacques Cousteau, Cy Twombly, Fila tennis, George Plimpton, the Porsche 911, Pablo Picasso, the Borg–McEnroe rivalry, old Stones albums, and Tina Barney mishmash into something achingly human.”
