Seen & Heard: Gingerbread is back at Church Street

GINGERBREAD AT CHURCH STREET SCHOOL
Church Street School has started its 30th annual Gingerbread House Decorating Workshops — a fundraiser for the school — as of today and running through Dec. 17. The schedule is Saturdays at 2pm & 4pm, and Sundays at 12:30pm, 2:30pm, & 4:00pm, at the school at 41 White. You can also take kits home for parties or events. Kits will also be available at The Oculus during Church Street School’s upcoming performance series. All proceeds go towards supporting the school’s arts education and enrichment programs. See the link here for prices and more info.

DECK THE WALLS AT NEW YORK ACADEMY OF ART
The New York Academy of Art will host its annual art sale on Dec. 15, from 6:30 to 9p, at its studios on Franklin. Over 300 small works of art from academy artists are for sale. All the pieces are displayed anonymously – the buyer won’t know whose work it is until after the sale. 25-50 percent of the proceeds of each sale at the event go directly to the student artist donating the artwork. RSVP for the event here.

EATALY SOHO IS OPEN
After some fits and starts, Eataly Soho opened officially yesterday at noon. See more about the store here. Hours are 7a to 11p.
