Seen & Heard: Tribeca Plate in Bogardus is open

TRIBECA PLATE IN BOGARDUS IS OPEN
More soon when I can stop by for lunch or breakfast, but Tribeca Plate, the Bogardus Plaza kiosk operated by the folks at Benvenuto, had its “soft” open yesterday. The official opening is Saturday and they will be offering free Mud coffee all day.

LOCAL MAKERS TRUNK SHOW
A group of local makers and artisans will host their 14th annual Tribeca Girlfriends Holiday Trunk Show today, Dec. 6, from 5 to 8p, and tomorrow, Dec. 7, from noon to 8p. Included are Kushi Spa Products, Lola Tribeca, Design Textiles by Mary Jaeger, Serena Van Rensselaer Jewelry, Kim Beck Clay and more. Email nicki@khushispa.com for location details.

GROUP SHOW AT 81 LEONARD GALLERY
81 Leonard Gallery will host Salon 81, a group show featuring Janna Fournier, Cara London, Ruth McLaughlin, Nancy Pantirer, Sasha Silverstein and Francine Tint, through Jan. 27. Gallery founder Nancy Pantirer established her studio at 81 Leonard in 1996. This is her nod to those early years of the Tribeca Open Artist Studios Tour (T.O.A.S.T.). More info here.

MENORAH LIGHTING AT THE SEAPORT
The Seaport will hold a menorah lighting ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 10, from 3 to 5p on the deck at Pier 17. There will be a live musical performance by the FiDi Hebrew School as well as arts and crafts, face painting, latkes, hot cocoa and other treats. The Menorah will be on display until Jan. 2.
