ORANGETHEORY IS OFFICIALLY OPEN
I’ll stop in again sometime in the new year for a New Kid post, but in the meantime: Orangetheory is officially open. Hours are 6a to 6:45p during the week and 9a to 4p on weekends.

LOCAL RESIDENT JOINS GLOBAL KIDS BOARD
Tribecan David Saitowitz has been appointed to the board of directors of Global Kids, a nonprofit that provides leadership programs at 20 middle and high school sites in underserved communities in the city and in Washington, DC. Saitowitz has worked extensively in the investment industry and will join ICG early next year as head of US liquid credit.

BEEF BAR COMING SOON?
The signs just changed on the former Nobu space at 105 Hudson and Franklin, which will be an iteration of Beef Bar, the “born in Monte Carlo” franchised chain of restaurants that has almost three dozen locations across the globe. The franchisees are Tribecans — Aqib Rah lives on Beach and his business partner lives on Chambers. The website says coming in 2024…

JURIED EXHIBIT AT SOHO PHOTO GALLERY
Soho Photo Gallery will host the American Photographic Artists‘ 2nd Annual Juried Exhibition now through Dec. 10. This year the guest juror was gallerist Brian Paul Clamp. The Opening Reception is today, Thursday, December 7, 6-9pm, to see 101 images by 65 professional photographers. Gallery hours are noon to 6p and all week long there will be after-hours talks and morning workshops with top industry photographers and creatives.
