B. caught the Grinch at the helm of the Ectomobile as it screeched past Ladder 8 — Ghostbusters HQ — yesterday. And I caught a Grinch in what looked like the Batmobile on West Broadway and Chambers.

MULCHFEST AT THE BATTERY
The Parks Department will host its annual Mulchfest for “used” Christmas trees at Battery Park from Dec. 26 to Jan. 7. If you want to haul your tree up to Tompkins Square Park, you watch it get chipped right there and take home a bag of mulch. See the other locations here and more info on how to volunteer.

TREE COMPOSTING CURBSIDE
DSNY will collect clean Christmas trees and wreaths from Friday, January 5, through Saturday, January 13, 2024 — weather permitting. They will be collected separately from the trash and recycling and may not get picked up immediately, but will eventually. For the trees to be collected, you MUST:

• Remove ALL lights, ornaments, and tinsel.
• Remove stands from trees and metal frames and wires from wreaths.
• Make sure they are not wrapped in ANY plastic or placed inside a plastic bag.
