New Kid on the Block: Tribeca Olive Branch Deli

Tribeca has a new real deli, which opened yesterday in the former Zucker’s space on the south side of Chambers and West Broadway: Tribeca Olive Branch Deli. (Zucker’s moved across the street in August.) The owner is Arif Algazali, who has three other locations in Soho and Little Italy. They are open 24/7, doubling the all-night institutions in Tribeca to join Benvenuto Cafe.  (Thanks to N. and V. who sent word last week that they were opening.)

All the photos are from P., who was so good to head over there while I was away yesterday: “This is a great addition to the ‘hood. The prices are fair (~$10ish burgers, paninis, wraps) and the place is well stocked. D’s on the Whole30 so we were able to get juices. They are brewing El Dorado coffee.”

Dianne Talan also sent word on day one: “They have full breakfast menu (omelets, French toast pancakes, etc. etc.), seven columns of food on the display menu and packaged snacks going up to the ceilings. All freshly built. And then milk, ice cream — all that stuff you would run out for last minute. The menu is very reasonably priced. A half gallon of milk is $4.50. And the service is really friendly.”

And they cater. I’ll sample a panini soon.

  1. great news for the hood. I hope the food is good!

  2. Paninis are yummy, actually have flavor, LOL! Had one on my way home from a very loooooong night of work. Nice to see something open late night on Chambers offerring a variety of choices.
