A sign! Marc Forgione is getting a bit closer to opening his new restaurant at 30 Hudson and Duane. The sign is up on the facade, and Marc said he is hoping for a spring opening — with a crossed-fingers emoji. “But as we know some things are out of our control,” he added. Forgione has had his eponymous restaurant on Reade just off Hudson since 2007; his plans to move the operation to the former Brushstroke space (and close the current restaurant) started in July 2021. At the time he said the new restaurant will be much like the current one — in fact the spaces are similar in size (60 seats in the dining room, 24 in the bar). The menu will stay the same. Brushstroke closed in September 2018 after seven years in the space.

Forgione also has One Fifth, at 1 Fifth Avenue, and Peasant in Nolita.
