New Kid? Costbusters Clothing

I’m not sure how long Costbusters will last, so I wanted to get this up quick. I was wildly curious when this store opened — and also amazed. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen signage like this in the neighborhood, along with plastic pennant flags hanging from the parking signs. But after visiting, now I am just a bit sad at the pounds and pounds of waste in the fast-fashion industry.

If you are in the market for a Snuggie, you are in luck. But that is about all that’s in there — boxes and boxes of pajamas and robes. A *lot* of fleece. The boxes are sorted by gender and age, and of course there’s a scale: $3.99 a pound.

We do have what I call the shirt store at 28 Warren (I think it is actually called Miracle Trading), which has been here for at least the 20 years I have been here, and of course Lot-Less on Chambers and Broadway, so maybe this will join that ecosystem…
