Tribeca Beauty Spa will close next month

Tribeca Beauty Spa, which offered massage and skin care treatments on Harrison for the past 17 years, announced last week that it will close on March 9. The spa had a loyal local following — among them, W., who forwarded the announcement to me.

“They had the best body scrub!!!” she said. “Will miss them dearly.”

That space was first home to Ula Day Spa, which was reopened as Tribeca Beauty Spa in August 2007 by Nadia Dekhkanova. That is quite a run.

The announcement said the closure brought mixed emotions. “We want to express our deepest gratitude for your continued support and loyalty throughout the years. It has been an honor serving you and providing a space for relaxation and rejuvenation.”

They also asked that any prepaid services or gift certificates be used asap, preferably in the next two weeks. They also said they would allow prepaid serviced to be redeemed for spa products.

  1. Nooooo! Another long(er)time Tribeca spot bites the dust. I love this place. I had my first manicure at Ula, and later, my first massage at Tribeca Beauty Spa. It has long been a favorite place to treat myself. Wishing the owners luck in their future endeavors.
