OLEKSII SCHERBAK AT MRIYA
Mriya Gallery will host a new show titled “Victims of Grenouille” by the Ukrainian artist Oleksii Scherbak. Originally from Chernihiv, Oleksii left his homeland following the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 and went to France with a mission to organize charity exhibitions in support of Ukraine. Oleksii creates oil paintings that pull the viewer into ethereal and grotesque Victorian-era fairytales. The show is up through April 27 and there is an opening party tonight, April 10, at 7p at the gallery at 101 Reade.
