Seen & Heard: Church Street School’s “The Happening”

CHURCH STREET SCHOOL HAPPENING ON JUNE 9
Church Street School will host its annual block party called The Happening on Sunday, June 9, noon to 4p, in front of the school on White between Church and Franklin Place. There will be live musical performances from CSSMA’s talented faculty, alumni and special guests, large scale communal and individual art projects, food, drink and The Happening Auction. WASHINGTON MARKET SCHOOL FAIR SET FOR JUNE 1
Washington Market School will host its annual street fair on Saturday, June 1, from 11a to 3p, on Duane Park, between Greenwich and Hudson. There will be live music, puppet shows, magic shows, the Bubble Dad, and lots more. Tickets are $50 for the family. Get them here.

PICKLEBALL AT BROOKFIELD
Brookfield will set up two pickleball courts from June 4 to 23 on the North Cove Marina plaza. Free and open to the public. Reservations are encouraged and will be available to the public starting May 22 on BFPL’s website.

COLOR SHOW AT SALON DESIGN GALLERY
Salon Design Gallery, which opened on Vestry in September, has a new show featuring Brooklyn-based lighting designer Rosie Li and Dutch textile designer Sina Dyks. The exhibition celebrates the role of color in bringing objects and space to life. Featured are Li’s new collection of limited edition light sculptures, Chroma, which will debut at the gallery.
