Made in Tribeca: Wishbone Farms NYC

Tribecan Josh Lebowitz, who owned Caliza, and his sister Eva Pesantez have opened a prepared foods delivery service, a riff on their market Wishbone Farms in Southampton.

Eva is the chef from Caliza Next Door and the pair also just opened a restaurant called Eva’s Kitchen on Grand, in tandem with the delivery service. Everything is delivered fully cooked and packaged family style in portions for two to four people. The location for pick up is 359 Grand, but they deliver throughout the city.

The menu is extensive and includes mains like turkey meatballs, sesame noodles with chicken, miso salmon. There are also salads, dips (who’s thinking of Martin Short?), a dozen sides, desserts, several kid-friendly dishes and breakfast.

Lebowitz, who lives on Greenwich with his wife and three kids, has worked in restaurants for his whole career, notably at Brother Jimmy’s. During the pandemic he opened Wishbone Farms in Southampton, a gourmet market with many of these prepared foods, and he wanted to do something similar in Tribeca but the rents are prohibitive for that model. Enter the delivery scheme, with a base on the Lower East Side.

I still miss Miriam so this will hopefully takes its place. They also cater.
