DOWNTOWN SOCCER LEAGUE SEEKING SPONSORS
Downtown Soccer League is seeking sponsors for the fall 2024 season. The league now has more than 2,000 boys and girls ages 5 to 17 comprising more than 170 teams playing weekly games on fields located throughout lower Manhattan. Sponsorship is $500 and you get your name on the jerseys! Plus recognition on the website and social media, and as the league organizers said, “the feeling of pride from making a difference in the lives of young athletes, promoting healthy lifestyles and building lasting relationships.” More info here.

DUANE PARK IS SPRUCING UP ITS RAILINGS
Duane Park is giving its wrought iron railings a glam-up in preparation for Dinner on Duane, scheduled for Sept. 15. (More on that here.) So if you were wondering about the hedges, they were trimmed for the painting and will be back in full bloom in a couple months.

MOMS DEMAND ACTION MARCH THIS SATURDAY
The anti-gun group Moms Demand Action NYC will host a march over the Broojlyn BRidge on Saturday, June 1, starting at noon at Foley Square. Their message: Gun violence claims the lives of over 44,000 Americans every year, including nearly 1,000 New Yorkers. It is also the leading killer of children and teens in this country.
