Seen & Heard: “Macbeth” at The Battery

SHAKESPEARE DOWNTOWN PRESENTS “MACBETH”
Shakespeare Downtown will present free performances of “Macbeth,” co-directed by Geoffrey Horne and Alec Baldwin, Thursdays through Sundays from June 13 to 23, 6:30p, at Castle Clinton. Tickets are free and available at the door of Castle Clinton National Monument at the Battery at 5:45 p.m. on the day of the performance. THE BATTERY GALA IS JUNE 11
The Battery will host its annual gala in the park on Tuesday, June 11, starting at 6p. The event starts with cocktails at the Bosque Fountain and is followed by dinner under a tent in the Woodland. This is their biggest fundraiser, and you can buy tickets for the cocktail party only.  Tickets here.

CHURCH STREET SCHOOL HAPPENING ON SUNDAY
Church Street School will host its annual block party called The Happening on Sunday, June 9, noon to 4p, in front of the school on White between Church and Franklin Place. There will be live musical performances from CSSMA’s talented faculty, alumni and special guests, large scale communal and individual art projects, food, drink and The Happening Auction.
