Seen & Heard: Jazz at City Hall Park

JAZZ AT THE FOUNTAIN
The City Hall Park Conservancy will host its first Jazz Evening by the Fountain on Thursday, June 13, at 5p. They will also have t’ai chi this Saturday, June 8, at 11a. AND the park saw the installation of thousands of new plants installed by 100 volunteers during a two-day period this week, in a show of solidarity with the 26,000 current victims of trafficking in the five boroughs — a collaboration between Restore NYC, the Horticultural Society and the conservancy. See more info on the Freedom Garden project here.

ENDANGERED ANIMALS AT FOSUN PLAZA
Public artists Gillie and Marc, who have a sculpture at the World Trade Center currently, will debut “The Wild Couch Party,” an installation that advocates for the conservation of endangered species, as Fosun Plaza starting on June 10. As self-proclaimed wildlife warriors, the pair has intertwined their passion for wildlife into monumental sculptures that engage the public about the importance of conservation. Would make a fun setting for a holiday card shoot…
