Salon, the design and artisan collective that opened on Vestry in 2023, has closed its very pretty shop. The owner, Amanda Pratt, said they have moved to a townhouse in the West Village and will open by late April. (Thanks to M. for the heads-up.)

Sorry to see them go — that was formerly the Schoolhouse Electric space, and whoever inherits it will get a fabulous mural in the bathroom.

But this gives me a chance to list what I think is now a more robust Tribeca Design District, despite this loss. Chime in if I am missing something, and soon I will do a more thorough report.
