Warren Street Hotel will cater Dinner on Duane

Dinner on Duane, the Friends of Duane Park’s now-annual celebration and fundraiser, is set for Sunday, Sept. 14, and the Warren Street Bar & Restaurant, embedded in the Warren Street Hotel, will prepare a traditional Sunday roast for the event. Up to 175 guest will gather at a long table set up on the north fork of Duane at the park.

Tickets go on sale on Sunday, June 1, at 9a, and in past years they have sold out quick — so mark your calendar (I’m not kidding). This is the fourth event the group has hosted.

Lots of local folks help pull it off. The event is presented by Tribecan Amy Bergman Bonomi of Compass; wines come from Tribeca Wine Merchants and dessert from Duane Park Patisserie. Other sponsors include park neighbors 60 Hudson Owner LLC and Aztech Mountain; Michelle Griffith from Douglas Elliman; The Greenwich Hotel; American Express; and ARC Athletics.

The dinner is always fun and festive — and the friends make it an almost all-day event, with afternoon activities open to all and a cocktail hour starting at 4p for ticket holders.

Tickets are $500 per, with a limit of two tickets per purchase. Larger group tickets are available now: a crowds of six goes for $6,000. Find those here, and use that same link on June 1.

The first event, held in 2022, was intended to be a one-and-done celebration for the park’s 225th anniversary. (Duane Park is the second-oldest public park in New York City, sold for $5 to the city by Trinity Church in June 1797.) That year the dinner was catered by Marc Forgione. Austin Johnson from One White Street hosted 2023, and Artesano, the Peruvian restaurant on Chambers, cooked last year.
