Seen & Heard: Collectors tours of Tribeca

TOURING THE DOWNTOWN ART SCENE
New Tribeca Karyn Blasi is leading tours of Downtown art meccas, and she has two scheduled for June in conjunction with Debbie Wells of Artful Buzz. The first is in and around the Bowery, with a tour of a gallery and Andy Warhol’s former home at 57 Great Jones Street. The second is a tour of the art at the Warren Street Hotel along with lunch there. (Lucky for her, she got to tour Let There Be Neon before they started their move.) Sign up for the tours here — they are limited to eight people.

LET THERE BE NEON WILL GO TO BROOKLYN
Let There Be Neon, which announced that it will leave its home at 38 White back in April after four decades as a glowing landmark there, will move to Sunset Park, where they will have twice the space for half the price. (Thanks to L. for the info.) End of an era for sure.

FIDI’S SUMMER MUSIC SERIES
Downtown Alliance will start its six-week free music and dance series on June 4 with jazz, blues, salsa, bolero, cha-cha-cha, soul and pop music along with exciting tap, swing and modern jazz dance. Concerts will take place each Wednesday at noon with the first three at the North Oculus Plaza and the final three at 140 Broadway. See the schedule here.

OBSERVANCE AT THE 9/11 MEMORIAL
The 9/11 Memorial & Museum will host the annual commemoration ceremony observing the 23rd anniversary of the formal end of rescue, recovery and relief efforts at Ground Zero on Friday, May 30, at 10:30 a on the 9/11 Memorial Glade. During this time, the museum will honor all 9/11 rescue, recovery and relief workers, as well as those who are sick or have died from illnesses and injuries linked to exposure to hazards and toxins in the aftermath of 9/11 at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon or near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
