Open as of April on Laight, in a classic Tribeca setting, loading dock and all, is Bel Angé Medical Spa, a spa for medical skin care techniques, such as injectables, lasers, microneedling, fillers, EmSculpt and other procedures.
The company was founded by Angelica Ricciardi two years ago, and it took her this time to find the right space after looking in Soho and the Flatiron. She and her business partner, Andy Marolda, gutted the space, creating a luxe interior with five treatment rooms on the ground floor.
Angelica was a surgical dental assistant, and it was working there that she realized she wanted to create a medical environment that felt more luxurious. “I wanted to recreate the five-star hotel experience,” she said. “I felt like a lot of med spas felt like doctors’ offices. I wanted it to be beautiful and relaxing.”
The office has a plastic surgeon as an offsite medical director; the primary onsite clinician is a nurse practitioner in addition to aestheticians. For now they are offering what they call the med spa basics; the plan is to expand eventually to wellness therapies, such as IVs and infusions. They also plan to cater to bridal parties and offer memberships.
A chemical peel is $350; microneedling starts at $500; injectables come with a free consultation and start at $650.
“These procedures are becoming part of a woman’s routine,” Andy said. “We created memberships so you pay a little each month in exchange for other benefits.”
A Chelsea resident, Angelica is already happy to be in Tribeca (I mean, what’s not to like). “I wanted a space I could fall in love with,” she said.
