HOW DO THEY DO IT?
I am still amazed at the lines that Bubby’s draws, but this one took the cake since it was a… Monday!! How? Why? I mean, no offense to Bubby’s — I love it — but that has to be a three-hour wait! And how does the kitchen handle it??

NOODLE SHOP COMING TO BPC
An update from N. from the southern most part of the district: the hot pot restaurant that lasted just a second at 21 South End Avenue (at West Thames) will be replaced by a noodle restaurant. Work is underway now.

  1. Did something recently change at Bubby’s? Did they recently make some list? I don’t recall seeing big lines on weekday for brunch. This seems new to me.

  2. Bubby’s line is likely due to the marathon. A lot of runners will stay and enjoy NYC post-race as they can eat whatever they want

  3. My M20 bus goes by Bubbys going uptown and there’s always a line. Two neighborhood alternatives are Patisserie Lanciani on Duane St for pies and Morgan’s Market at Hudson and Reade for great danish and muffins.
