TRE SORELLE HAS REOPENED
More soon when I have a chance to stop by, but in the meantime, thanks to C. for the shot. Tre Sorelle, which was forced to close after a fire in October 2024, is back open. The restaurant has been on Reade Street for 14 years.
AFTER HOURS AT MISS RACHEL’S
Dance with Miss Rachel has launched an adult ballet class called DWMR After Hours, starting November 13. The first session will be three Thursdays (November 13, November 20, December 4) from 7:30-8:30p. The dance school is also offering private pods for friends to sign up together at a time that works for their schedule. More information here.
SHO SHIBUYA AT BIENVENU STEINBERG & C
I love Sho Shibuya — he paints interpretations of the news on the front page of The Times daily — and a new gallery here has a great show that was just extended. Each of the frames can be opened so you see the story that inspired the painting. Bienvenu Steinberg & C at 35 Walker.
NEW MODERN AMERICAN RESTAURANT OPENING IN FIDI
Terravita, a modern American restaurant, will open at 17 Battery Place — way downtown on the north side of the street across from The Battery — on November 10. The owners are husband and wife José and Stephanie Rosa, who designed the space themselves. The Rosas have partnered with consulting chef Luis Ángel Pérez, who has worked in top Spanish kitchens including Aponiente and DiverXO, to develop new items for the downtown menu. (Their original Terravita is in Washington Heights and opened in 2018.) They will be open seven days a week, starting with dinner service 5-10p, and lunch and weekend brunch coming soon -– the full hours will be 11a to 11p.
