PLAYGARDEN NOW HAS IMMERSION FRENCH
Playgarden Prep, which was founded here in 2007 on Franklin and now has two additional locations on the Upper East Side, just added an all-day preschool program that blends early childhood education with socialization and physical activity in enrichment classes such as STEM, movement, music, and more. The program is Monday to Friday, 9a to 3p. More info here.
PROJECT CICERO BOOK DRIVE AT PS 234
Project Cicero is doing its annual book drive at PS 234 on Thursday, March 5. The organization redistributes books to other public school libraries. They accept new and gently used books for preschool through high school. They do NOT take adult books, text books, holiday or religious books, or books in bad condition.
COFFEE PROJECT REOPENS FEBRUARY 13
The Coffee Project 1t 450 Washington at the corner of Desbrosses, which closed for a winter break and some renovations, will reopen on Friday, February 13. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7a to 3p, and Saturday and Sunday, 8a to 4p. On Valentine’s Day they are hosting a reopening party from 8 to 11a with free coffee drinks for all visitors.
AUNTIE ANNE’S PRETZEL TRUCK ON GREENWICH
Kind of an unusual choice for winter? Auntie Anne’s pretzels now has a truck parked in front of PS 234 serving its sweet and savory pretzels, pretzel bites and hot chocolate.

The truck is parked by a fire hydrant….
This makes me miss Tribeca’s original and best source of soft pretzels on Greenwich Street: Pennsylvania Pretzel Co! It’s been 25+ years and I still crave their cinnamon sugar pretzel.
