Turns out the penthouse that sold at 70 Vestry belonged to Julia Haart, who featured her former lifestyle in “My Unorthodox Life” after leaving an Orthodox Jewish community in the Hudson Valley. Her ex-husband, Italian entrepreneur Silvio Scaglia, bought it in 2018. The Real Deal reports that the triplex condo is “one of the most expensive condos sold Downtown, falling just short of the $60 million record set by Harsh Padia’s condo at 150 Charles. The 7,800 square-foot penthouse covers three floors with 16 rooms, a private elevator, two chef’s kitchens, five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and over 3,600 square feet of terrace.”
