Seen & Heard: Auction at Tribeca Grill

TRIBECA GRILL WILL AUCTION ITS CONTENTS
Tribeca Grill is auctioning off everything at the restaurant: the reclaimed chestnut tables, plates, wine decanters, ice cream makers and even the seven stained glass chandeliers, designed by architect David Rockwell. The auction is live now and ends Wednesday, March 11 at 3:30p. It is an online auction only, however, the restaurant will be open to see items in person on Monday, March 9, and Tuesday, March 10, from 9:30a to 5p. More info here.

NEW GALLERY FOR LEONARD
The South African gallery Southern Guild has taken the space at 75 Leonard and will open on April 23. They are relocating their US gallery from LA; they also have a gallery in Cape Town. More TK when I can run over for a sneak peek.

THE MOTH COMMUNITY STORYSLAM IN BPC
The Moth Community StorySLAM will host a noncompetitive, open-mic storytelling event on Tuesday, March 10, 7p, at 6 River Terrace. Anyone can put their name in a hat to share a five-minute personal story on the night’s theme — Shake It Off — live without notes. Prior to the slam, Moth instructors will host workshops offering guidance, techniques and practice on the craft of storytelling on March 9 from 4 to 5:30 and 6 to 7:30p. More info here.

CHESS EVENTS AT BROOKFIELD
Brookfield Place will host a two-week community chess event at the Winter Garden from March 16 to 27, 10a to 6p (except Sunday the 22nd). The full schedule of open play, exhibition games and workshops is here.
