JAY’S PIZZA IS OPEN ON CHAMBERS
More very soon when I can stop by, but in the meantime, A. sent word and this photo — Jay’s Pizza on Chambers between West Broadway and Greenwich is open. They’ve been working on the space for months.

POETS HOUSE CELEBRATES 40 YEARS

Tickets are here.

GRAPHIC REWILDING AT BROOKFIELD
A series of large-scale artworks titled Fleeting Opulence by British art collective Graphic Rewilding will be installed next week as Brookfield Place’s 8th Annual Arts Commission. The installations will go on the glass facades on Vesey, from the waterfront into the courtyard, and in the interior atrium of the Winter Garden. Artists Catherine Borowski and Lee Baker founded Graphic Rewilding in 2022 and have worked with many distinguished cultural institutions, including the New York Botanical Gardens, Shanghai’s Start Museum, and Rome’s Chiostro Del Bramante. Their inspiration comes from wanting to bring experiences of nature into metropolitan cities.

SURVEY RE: THE BATTERY WATERFRONT
The first phase of the new promenade, part of the Lower Manhattan Coastal Resilience project, has opened at The Battery after years of construction. But ferry passengers boarding for the Statue of Liberty must pass through security screening, which requires a fence separating them from the general public. The Battery Conservancy has proposed an alternative configuration that meets security requirements while keeping the waterfront open to all. Weigh in on the discussion by emailing info@thebattery.org.
