Seen & Heard: Earth Day in City Hall Park

EARTH DAY IN CITY HALL PARK
The City Hall Park Conservancy will host its 5th annual Earth Day event on April 25 from 10a to 1p. “Birds of the Park” is the theme and they will have volunteer gardening, visits from the Urban Park Rangers, music, and kids birdhouse decorating. Also on view will be photographer Gail Karlsson’s bird banners, featuring City Hall Park’s own feathered friends. Email info@chpc-nyc.org if you are a group of over five people.

NEW SCULPT AND PILATES STUDIO FOR LEONARD
K. spotted a new heated sculpt and mat Pilates studio called Ethea coming to 57 Leonard, between Church and West Broadway. More soon when I get in touch, but in the meantime, this from their website: “Our method blends muscular endurance, controlled strength, deep core integration, and breath-led pacing. Our infrared heated studio enhances circulation and focus without compromising alignment.”

PRODUCE TRUCK NO LONGER AT CHAMBERS?
A. sent a note — the produce truck at Chambers and Greenwich has been missing for a while. I tried to look up the permit so I could track down the owner, Mike, but no luck. Comment if you have a clue!

  1. If my memory is correct, it’s still a little early in the season for Mike to be back from winter vacation. I think last year he didn’t show up until early May. Fingers crossed he’ll be back again this year.
