BLOCK PARTY IN GOTHAM PARK
Gotham Park will host its Community Block Party on Saturday, May 2, from noon to 4p. Fogo Azul will kick off the party at noon followed with live music and performances by Church Street School for Music & Art, Spotlight Kids, Opera by Teatro Grattacielo and a cheer squad from Gotham Cheer! There will be educational activities with Pace and the New York Public Library along with mural painting, skateboarding, yoga, a kung fu demonstration and much more. More info here.

TRIBECA FESTIVAL WILL OPEN WITH QUESTLOVE DOC
Downtowner Questlove’s documentary about Earth, Wind & Fire will open the Tribeca (Film) Festival on June 3 at the Beacon. Questlove’s full name is Ahmir Thompson and the doc’s full name is “Earth, Wind & Fire (To Be Celestial VS That’s the Weight of the World).” Earth, Wind & Fire and The Roots will play after the screening. HOT 8 YOGA COMING THIS SUMMER
Haven’t heard back from them, but new signs say that Hot 8 Yoga will open this summer. They have taken the Mayweather boxing space on Reade.
