The City Hall Greenmarket and the Bowling Green Greenmarket will both reopen for the season on Tuesday, May 5. Bowling Green opened in 1994! City Hall hours: 8a to 4p; Bowling Green hours: 8a to 3p. *Please note, farmers may leave early due to inclement weather

JANE’S WALK THIS WEEKEND
The Municipal Arts Society will host its annual Jane’s Walk series to celebrate preservationist Jane Jacobs on May 1-3. Downtown tours include “Downtown Dames: Historic Women Celebrated in Public Spaces;” “Maroon Ecologies of Lower Manhattan,” “Fulton Fish Market, a Walk Through the Past” with artist Naima Rauam, who lived and painted here for decades; and “Radio Row: Rockefeller’s Razing and Revival Follow” — which follows the dramatic demolition of Lower Manhattan’s beloved electronics bazaar to make way for the Twin Towers. ASPHALT GREEN HOSTS FIRST-EVER “BIG PLAY DAY”
Asphalt Green will host a Big Play Day on Saturday, May 16, from 11a to 3p, at Asphalt Green’s Battery Park City Campus, North End Avenue between Warren and Murray. Games and activities will include mini golf, basketball, soccer trivia, a Jiu-Jitsu demonstration, obstacle courses and face painting, plus exercise classes and music/entertainment. Vendors will provide food, free gear, educational giveaways, and more.

“LITTLE BIRDS” AT THE LOCKER ROOM
Thirteen artists will explore how queerness transforms the everyday in “Little Birds” Tribeca show from May 7 to 28. The group exhibition brings together artists of various backgrounds (ages 24-65) who engage, grapple with, and dispute how queerness transforms the everyday. Opening Reception is May 7, 6 to 9p. May 5 is also the one-year anniversary of the gallery.
