CYCLIST IN COLLISION STILL IN CRITICAL CONDITION
The 24-year-old female cyclist who was struck by a car in the intersection of Franklin and Church early morning on April 29 is still in critical condition, the NYPD said. She was heading northbound on Church Street; the car was heading east on Franklin when they collided. The call came via 911 at 5:41am. No arrests have been made.

GEORGE MCNALLY IS AIMING FOR JULY
Was fun to bump into George McNally (I “won” a massage from NYLO as part of the silent auction for Spruce Street School so was walking by) and he gave me a tour of his fledgling restaurant — the name is Faux. He’s not photo ready, but it is coming along. He’s hoping for July. Lovely guy. Read more here.

WHAT’S WAYMO DOING HERE?
According to The City, Waymo’s permits to test cars in the city expired on March 31. But P. caught this shot of a test vehicle making the rounds in North Tribeca. Turns out the AV permit expired but they can be driven manually on city streets — I checked with city DOT.

SCHILLING IS NOW CAFE FLEURI
Schilling, the Austrian restaurant at 109 Washington north of Rector, has closed its doors after 10 years but has reopened as Café Fleuri, serving Southern French cuisine. The chef is Eduard Frauneder. Vienna Calling Catering continues as usual. I will swing by soon; in the meantime, find them here.
