DINE AROUND DOWNTOWN IS JUNE 4
The Downtown Alliance will host its 23rd annual Dine Around Downtown food festival on Thursday, June 4, from 11a to 2:30p at Fosun Plaza. There are 54 local Fidi restaurants participating — the biggest ever. It is free to stroll around, but menu items range from $5 to $10. James Beard award-winning chef and author Rocco DiSpirito will return as special guest host and the Ruby Laks Trio will perform. Vendors include first-time participants such as Maison Passerelle at Printemps, Kesté Pizza and the new Café Fleuri as well as Boss Tweeds, Crown Shy, The Fulton, La Piazza at Eataly Downtown, Manhatta and TAQ. More info here.

FIFA WORLD CUP AT THE BATTERY
Between July 5 and 19, The Battery will host free public screenings on the Woodland Lawn of the FIFA World Cup matches, as well as outdoor films, sing-alongs and family-friendly programming. There will also be music, food, and activities for all ages. There is no ticketing, but there will be limited chairs first come first serve, and all else will be encouraged to bring picnic blankets.
