Seen & Heard: TC Gators are champs

GATORS ARE — ONCE AGAIN — CHAMPS
The Tribeca Citizen Gators, local 4th graders now 5th graders in Downtown Little League’s Softball Minors, are champions of their division for the second year in a row. From their coaches: “Led by strong hitting, Ellie DeChrisopher’s catching and Hayley Su’s pitching — including a perfect game with 17 strikeouts in Sunday’s championship — the Gators finished this year 12-0. They last lost in May of 2025! Going a combined 24-1 the last two seasons.” Go Gators!

BRAZILIAN DANCE PARTY IN BOGARDUS
The Friends of Bogardus Plaza will host a Make Music NYC event on the plaza on June 21 with a Brazilian Forro dance party from noon to 3p. The event features live Brazilian dance music by Flor de Massape. More info here.

MUSIC IN THE PLAYGROUND
The Friends of Washington Market Park have two more events in their Music in the Playground series: Thursdays June 18 and 25 at 3:30p. Designed especially for the park’s youngest playground crew, the series invites children to sing, dance and play along with Ramblin’ Dan and Music with Corey. More info here.

FEDEX IS OPEN ON WEST BROADWAY
R. sent word that the new FedEx office on West Broadway and Park Place is open for business. The old one on Barclay is closing.
