I had to get in one last post: Tribecan and sports photog Arlo Dobbie was in pole position on Murray and Broadway starting at 5a and caught all the action as the players rounded the corner into City Hall for their ticker-tape parade yesterday. (The TC was rejected for credentials for the parade and ceremony; Arlo was clutch.)
I caught the aftermath on Church Street. Big kudos goes to the Department of Sanitation, whose street sweepers performed their synchronized ballet to get most of the millions of bottles and cans left behind by the millions of fans.
It’s not cause for celebration that the Department of Sanitation did such a good job. It’s sad that people trash the place like this. It doesn’t have to be like this.
