Seen & Heard: Apollo Bagels is aiming for Wednesday opening

THE PAPER IS OFF AT APOLLO
The folks at Apollo Bagels said they are hoping for a Wednesday opening in the former Kings space on Reade and Hudson. N. caught the paper off last night. More TK of course, but in the meantime, there are booths!

WORLD CUP WATCH PARTY
The city will host an outdoor World Cup watch party at Brooklyn Bridge Arches Plaza on Rose Street on July 10, 2p, There will be a live performance by Fogo Azul at 2p, followed by the W93 vs. W94 match at 3p. Programming provided by Hive Public Space, Equity Design, Get Women Cycling, The Horticultural Society of New York and more. Bike valet service will be provided by Transportation Alternatives.

A. sent word: the new Alo store is open in Brookfield. The company has tons of stores nationwide — more than 160 — including eight others in the city and one coming soon to Columbus Circle.
