THE BBC INTERVIEWS THE MAYOR AT BUBBY’S
The BBC chose Bubby’s for an interview with Mayor Mamdani on the World Cup. Owner Ron Silver was star-struck. “It was the first time I have ever shook the hand of a politician and not felt I need a shower or an exorcism,” he wrote on Instagram.

WATCHING THE WATCHERS
The city Department of Transportation has a website that links to the live camera feeds around the city — thanks to J. for pointing it out. There are at least 20 in the neighborhood proper and way more beyond.

HONORING THE BATTERY CONSERVANCY FOUNDER
The Battery Conservancy honored its founder and longtime leader, Warrie Price, at a beautiful gala this month. They have a cocktail hour in the gardens, then pitch a tent on the Bosque Fountain for dinner. For future reference, you can buy a ticket to just the cocktails for a brief but cheaper option to support the park. Below, some CB1 stalwarts caught at cocktail hour.
