MOVIE NIGHT AT WASHINGTON MARKET PARK
Friends of Washington Market Park will host a Movie Night Under the Stars on Thursday, July 30, 8:30p, with a showing of Storks. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs, settle in with family and friends, and enjoy the movie beginning at dusk. The event is co-sponsored by NYC Parks, The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment and the Tribeca kids beverage brand No Biggie. More info here.

BUBBLE SHOW AT PLAYTO
Playto Tribeca, the preschool that opened at 90 Hudson in December 2024, will host a Bubble Show that is free to the public on Thursday, July 30, at 4p. The event will feature an entertaining performance designed for infants, toddlers, young children, and their parents and caregivers.

THE OCULUS IS 10 YEARS OLD
They grow up so fast! The Oculus is celebrating its 10th birthday with 10 days of events in August, starting with a rededication ceremony on August 7 from noon till 2p. There will also be a floral sculpture designed by Fleurs de Villes; live artwork created by Art on the Ave= on Saturday, August 8; live music with Sing for Hope on Wednesday, August 12, from noon to 2p; and offers at restaurants and stores through those two days. THOUSANDS OF POUNDS OF E-WASTE COLLECTED
The  Lower East Side Ecology Center that did the recylcing event at Washington Market Park in June reported back that they collected 2,009 pounds of electronics and 510 pounds of textiles from 80 participants in just a few hours
