SUMMER CONCERT AT 1 CENTRE
The city had a Summer Concert Series under the arches at 1 Centre, and despite asking a couple times, I only got the info for the final one: August 19, noon to 2. It looks like fun! A variety of food vendors are available every concert day, and on certain days a City Store pop-up shop will also be on-site.

APOLLO BAGELS NOW BAKED IN INDUSTRY CITY
Apollo Bagels, which just opened in the former Kings space, is now making all its bagels in Industry City, Brooklyn. The local chain produces 100,000 bagels a week for all locations across New York City — and the one at Industry City, its ninth location, is now the production flagship and centralized bakeshop. So safe to say, no hot bagels in Tribeca! This will allow them to “maintain quality and keep up with demand across all their locations ,” their press rep said. “Apollo has outgrown every kitchen they’ve been in so far, so this new centralized production model is helping Apollo expand to new locations like Tribeca.”

DANCE AND MUSIC AT WAGNER PARK
Esperanza Spalding in collaboration with dancer, theater and filmmaker Kayla Farrish, will present an evening of new dance and music at Wagner Park on August 8, 7 to 9p. This is a the first public sharing of their creative collaboration.

LESLIE WAYNE AT GOVERNORS ISLAND
Leslie Wayne will exhibit her paintings in a show titled The Unintended Blues at the Arts Center at Governors Island through September 27, Friday to Sunday, noon to 5p. The paintings document rising sea levels through aerial landscapes of vulnerable US shorelines and melting icebergs in the Arctic Circle. Wayne captures the beauty of the natural environment and renders with graphic clarity one of the planet’s greatest existential threats.
