I have yet to go in — they just opened three days ago — but in the meantime, a local chain of art studios with programs for kids has opened a branch at 72 Warren between West Broadway and Greenwich. Playday has taken the storefront that was once part of Church Street School and set it up for art activities, after school programs, camps, birthday parties and special events.

Founded in 2017, the company now has seven other locations. They offer art and sensory experience for kids 1 to 4; 60-minute drop-in activities like painting, sculpture, cartooning and architecture for 5+; afterschool camp; advanced art.

There are tons of pricing options, but as a sample: A single class is $30 to $40; an afterschool unlimited month is $675.
