When you need a historically accurate, impeccably made or restored frame, you turn to Tracy Gill and her husband, Simeon Lagodich. After starting the business in their loft on Duane in 1991, then moved to a store on Reade five years later, then relocated to the second floor of 139 Franklin in 2015. Gill & Lagodich currently has over a thousand frames in its inventory, ranging from the 1500s to contemporary, worth anything from a couple hundred bucks to over a hundred grand. Gill hastens to add that they also happily make frames for people as well as museums and collectors, for anything from family photos to decorative mirrors to medicine cabinets.
