••• This Saturday is Lower Manhattan Community Church’s popular (and free) Easter Egg Hunt, with games, crafts, prizes, a photo booth, and face painting and pictures with the Easter Bunny, all for toddlers through third-graders. It’s 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tribeca Rooftop (10 Desbrosses).

••• Yasmine Karrenberg, whose Flowers by Yasmine is inside Le District, says that she’s been asked to take over the gift section in the window at 225 Liberty, behind the grocery section’s cash registers. “Besides flowers and plants, I’ll have some home goods: screen-printed pillows and totes from Eric & Christopher, Maptotes; Good Candles; Leashes from Found my Animal; Moroccan baskets; and a collaboration with Cass Lilien, who created these bracelets just for Flowers by Yasmine. I’m hoping to get some books, too, and any suggestions are welcome!” (An ice cream counter is opening in her old spot just past the coffee bar.)

••• Speaking of Brookfield Place…. There’s a black curtain just inside the Vesey entrance, so I naturally peeked behind it. Behold, your first look at the Amada restaurant…. Also, the restaurant has been hiring since early January, so maybe the opening is finally imminent.

••• Ataulfo mango season is finally here! And they’re on sale (five for $5) at Whole Foods. They’re pretty unripe, but a few days in a brown paper bag takes care of that. Then just peel with a vegetable peeler and eat like corn on the cob—while standing over the sink.

••• “A pair of red-tailed hawks have been seen carrying twigs to nearby window ledges, and menacing (presumably catching a few) squirrels in Collect Pond Park these last few days,” emailed A., along with these two photos. “Hoping they decide to nest there. A small group of serious birders with telephoto lenses have photographing them but, so far, no real crowds.” (Same hawk as from January?)
