••• A “for rent” sign has appeared on the Mobile X phone store at 200 Church.
••• The Roll and Go slice joint at Canal and Church is now Borough Pizza. The Roll and Go at Broadway and Franklin hasn’t changed names.
••• Two events next weekend at Washington Market Park:
—“It’s My Park Day!”: Help us enhance the park by planting beautiful flowers with our gardener, Richard. Trowels and gloves provided. (Saturday, May 21, 11 a.m.-noon.)
—“Ladybug Day!”: Help the plants to grow strong and beautiful by releasing thousands of ladybugs into the park. (Sunday, May 22, 11 a.m.-noon).
••• Church Street School for Music and Art’s annual block party, The Happening, is Sunday, May 22. All of the info and tickets are here.
••• Exhale, which offers barre classes, yoga, and spa treatments, is opening at 59 Thompson, just above Grand.
••• And the former Naked Lunch space at Grand and Thompson is going to be a deli after all; there’s ugly signage inside that resembles the ugly deli across the street at 17 Thompson—so maybe that one is moving? (The old Naked Lunch space was going to be a fancy bar called the Regent Cocktail Club, but that must have fallen apart.)
