••• Lena Dunham loves Tribeca more than any of us.

••• I said the other day that the H&M at the World Trade Center looked like it had a way to go—but I also noted that stores can come together very quickly at the end. Yesterday morning, the store was being painted, and I could spot pallets—presumably of merch—behind the plywood.

••• A reader emailed to say he thought New York Dolls was reopening, and I saw no reason to think that was necessarily the case—the building is being torn down and posters had gone up touting the strip club’s sister establishments—and then I walked by and saw this sign. I can’t imagine that building will be spared, so the club must be reopening somewhere else. But where? I sent the photo to the reader. “And what’s weird is that one of their doorman is hanging around the entrance at night,” he replied. “The place is closed, yet they have a doorman.”

••• There’s a Canal Park Conservancy—who knew?—and it’s bringing in the CityParks Puppetmobile this Thursday, Oct. 20, at 4 p.m. for a free performance of “Puss in Boots.”

••• Has the Heeler shoe repaid on Walker ever been open? Is it just some sort of marketing thing? Or left over from a film shoot?

••• Signs for a “Crime” shoot are posted on Walker, near Broadway. Don’t know what it is.
