••• From D.: “It looks like Tipsy Shanghai is closed! I just called the same number though and it’s a new restaurant now, same location, called Jiangnan Chinese Cuisine (they’re on Yelp, which is where they directed me to when I asked if I could see their menu). He said they’re different owners, and a different kind of cuisine (though it’s still Chinese).”
••• “If my count is correct, 91 Leonard is now at its final height of 19 stories,” emailed C. “Hope the facade is decent!” Indeed.
••• Anyone know what’s coming to this second-floor space on the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place? There are recent Department of Buildings permits posted.
••• Five Points Tattoo is opening at 123 Lafayette. (Apologies for the smear on my camera lens, which made this photo blurry.)
••• “Instinct,” which I assume is this TV show, is shooting in the Warren/Church area tomorrow: “A former CIA operative (Cumming), who has since built a ‘normal’ life as a gifted professor and writer, is pulled back into his old life when the NYPD needs his help to stop a serial killer on the loose.” LOL.
••• I hear that a pop-up gallery is opening at 384 Broadway any day now.
••• I think there used to be a “for lease” sign at 20 Harrison, where Matt Bernson’s store was, but if there was, it has been taken down—which would lead one to assume that it has been rented.
••• Jane Lynch is hosting a Christmas show at City Winery on December 3 and 4. Below: Her version of Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda.”
