Her work, both verbal and visual, rests heavily on the importance of reclaiming ancestral traditions as a tool of resistance, exemplified by raw wool installations and sculptures known as Quipu, which reference the ancient Andean system of recording statistics and stories through a complex knotting of coloured thread. She also explores the power of intuition and activism in the face of oppression, patriarchy, white supremacy, totalitarian rule and ecological devastation.”

The signature Mezcal cocktails will include the Gitano margarita, and Kisses in the Car (with passion fruit). To respect the local Hudson Square community, there will be brunch, lunch, and dinner, with an early closing time of 11 on weekdays, and midnight on weekends, no DJs, and absolutely no dancing, a neighborhood requirement that, says Gardner, pushed him to raise the level of absolutely everything else.”
