Seen & Heard: $13 million sale on Warren

••• The charming building on the south side of Warren next to Mulberry & Vine – 75 Warren — has sold for $12.9 million to In Joo Kim. This thanks to a tip from G. who forwarded Avison Young’s announcement: “The 10,800-square-foot, co-op townhouse property is located between West Broadway and Greenwich Street in the heart of TriBeCa.” If I am reading the city’s records correctly, this building sold in 2003 for $150,000, but has been flipped over a few times since then. It’s listed as a 1-3 family building with a storefront.

••• There’s a new pre-school called Vivvi at 75 Varick, in the same building that’s been a placeholder for the Jackie Robinson Museum for a few years going. It’s for kids ages 6 months to 5 years, is open from 7a to 7p, and bills itself as “early childhood education for today’s workforce.” (Thanks to the tip from Mrs M.)

••• Pace University is seeking to rename a local subway stop – they’ve got their eye on the Fulton Street A/C/E or 2/3 — or at least add Pace University to the name. (Cases in point: 116th Street – Columbia University or 137th Street – City College.) The MTA says these are “legacy stops” and that it no longer renames stations, but Pace is lobbying the agency nonetheless and seeking support from CB1 – to be considered at the full board meeting on Jan. 22. Maybe they deserve it: turns out they’ve been in the neighborhood for 113 years.

••• With Max making the move from Duane Street to the former Bennett space on West Broadway and Reade, the family favorite also wanted to secure the sidewalk café, which CB1 granted last week.
