The New Amsterdam branch of the New York Public Library on Murray opens to the public on Tuesday, July 6, after three years of renovations (including a covid delay). It closed in May 2018.

The branch was originally opened in 1989, and Sue Ellen Epstein unearthed some fun shots of the opening ceremonies.

Happy library is re-opening. Tried to stop by this morning but the hours are only from 11am-5pm Monday – Sat. Hopefully they will resume regular hours soon.
