December 7, 2022 Restaurant/Bar News
A wine bar from the West Village is taking over the beautiful Terra space on Franklin and West Broadway. Stafili Wine Café opened in February 2021 on Greenwich and 12th Street, and is opening this as its second location. “We anticipate starting construction in a week or so and hope to have our doors open at the end of January!” they wrote in an email. The focus in the Village is Greek wines, coffee, crepes and panini and they told me this would be the same concept.
Terra moved its operations over to its pizza restaurant — Sagra Pizza Bar — in October, after renovating the space and running the restaurant at 222 West Broadway since 2013. They also had Attraversa in the same space until the pandemic.
Looks like there could be some good pricing: Stafili’s Instagram account notes that they have $7 wines and $6 beers, or at least that’s what you can find on 12th Street.

Seems like a good match for this space. Welcome to neighborhood!
Can never have too many wine bars! Greek wines are among some of the most exciting these days IMO, really looking forward to this.
I was a huge fan of Terra and sad to hear it is leaving, but Stafili is going to be the perfect fit ! Absolutely adore their West Village location – the wines, the food, the staff, and the vibe!! I’m cheering for their success in Tribeca !
Last night was their first night open — based on their site looks like they are open until midnight… do we know how they got approval for this (or if they really did)? (As a neighbor we noticed it was quite noisy when they took out the trash late on night one)
