••• Opening Saturday at The Flea Theater: The Great Recession, a program of six short plays themed to the economic collapse. The slate includes Classic Kitchen Timer by Adam Rapp, F**ked by Itamar Moses, New York Living by Thomas Bradshaw, Severed by Erin Courtney, Recess by Sheila Callaghan, and Unum by Will Eno. The Flea commissioned all the works. Tickets are $25, and the show runs through Dec. 30. 41 White St. (Broadway/Church), 212-352-3101, theflea.org.

••• 92YTribeca has added a show to its Comedy Below Canal series. It’s this Thursday, Nov. 19, and it features Baron Vaughn (the 92YTribeca release says he was in Black Dynamite, but he’s not on IMDB’s cast list, and his bio doesn’t mention the movie, so I don’t know), Leo Allen (SNL, Wainy Days), Jamie Lee (College Humor), and Julian McCullough (Live at Gotham, Z Rock), whoever the hell they are. $10.

••• That was a joke! Or it was supposed to be, anyway. And now, a much more serious matter: Tribeca got scrooged in New York magazine’s 2009 gift guide. The stores that showed up—and for most, other locations were credited—included Radio Shack (aren’t they going by The Shack now?), American Apparel, Barnes & Noble, and Bed Bath & Beyond. Sounds like the Paramus Park mall. The only Tribeca shop that’s only in Tribeca was Philip Williams Posters (a musician named Jessica Cole said she wanted a framed Patrick Nagel poster—Nagel’s artwork, if you weren’t the kind of 80s person who knows this stuff, was used by Duran Duran for its Rio album).

••• Broadway star Lillias White, currently starring in Fela!, will perform two New Year’s Eve shows at City Hall restaurant’s Granite Room. (More on that venue here.) The 8:30 p.m. show is $150 plus a $30 drink minimum; the 11:30 p.m. show is $250 plus a $30 drink minimum. 212-227-7777, cityhallnewyork.com.

••• Current obsession: Grandaisy Bakery‘s ginger-lemon sandwich cookie. Yesterday I bought two—one for me and one as a gift—and I immediately ate them both.

••• From Blockshopper: “Alexis P. Malozemoff and Wiera Malozemoff bought the one-bedroom, one-bath condo #6B at 311 Greenwich St. from Susan May for $767,000 on Oct. 13. Dr. Malozemoff has served as the chief technical officer with the American Superconductor Corp., and in a number of positions with IBM Research in New York.”
